Mushroom-Balsamic Cream Sauce for Gnocchi

🍄Mushroom-Balsamic Cream Sauce


– 1 8oz package mushrooms (any), sliced

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 Tablespoon Flour

– 1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar

– 1 cup Skim Milk

– Salt and Black Pepper, to taste


1. Sautée 1 package of sliced mushrooms in 1 tablespoon olive oil, until softened

2. Add 2 cloves garlic, minced and Sautée another minute

3. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon flour over the mushrooms and mix constantly until well absorbed, about 2 minutes

4. Deglaze the pan with 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar and mix

5.  Add 1 cup of skim milk and mix well over high heat…..let the mixture keep boiling to reduce and thicken a bit

6. Add salt and pepper to taste

7. Add the cooked gnocchi and toss in the sauce until heated through

🍄Serve with basil and parmesean
